2019 Microsoft 365 Release Schedule

2019 Microsoft 365 Release Schedule

Happy new year!

First session of the year, what we're going to do is take a look at what Microsoft is doing right, they must have had something planned they have to give us a road map or something.

I logged into the release schedule on Microsoft and yes, it turns out in December they released this article talking about how they're going to go about releasing new updates at least for Q1 sort of into early Q2. so, if you take a look at here, we have Dynamics 365 April 2019 release key milestones. There's going to be release notes available January 21st, you know, be watching this channel because on January 21st or soon after we're going to go into the release notes and stuff to figure out what's going on.

There's preview available on February 1st so, what that means and if you scroll a little bit further down is that you can go ahead and you can check off that you want to be part of the preview and so we're going to get more into that as closer we get to it but there seems to be a tap box somewhere in the setup where you can put it on and you can see what's going on.

Then release notes are going to be February 21st and then general availability April 5th so there's a big window between the preview and general availability, I suspect is that the preview will be rolled out people will be trying it out reporting back to Microsoft any bugs and fixes so they give themselves a whole two months to kind of clean it up so that's April 5th they will release it for everyone.

Another interesting thing about this is, of course, in this channel we talk a lot about Business Central and used to be NAV now Business Central, but the header on this is Dynamics 365. It's not Business Central, why is that? because this is a release scheduled for 365 in general, so when I'm going through the websiteit is including everything Power Bi , Business Central, everything, so it feels like at least that this will update all of the 365 platform so that is a huge release and what we're going to try to do is go through, of course, what is very important to Business Central and then we're going to be touching on Power Bi because that relates to Business Central all of course Microsoft sales and all of those things.

Kind of going from Business Central out into the stack, so stay tuned. We were very excited to start the year out with at least knowing what's coming and for next video we're going to drop back into the standard how-to subduing things with Business Central and all the wonders of 365 so tune in next time and thank you.
