Inside an Implementation: T-6 Days to Go Live

We are getting close to go live date.  Warehouse has been run roughly through all of the scenarios, but there is still some reluctance to do additional scanning.  Scanning will benefit the whole structure and has been streamlined quite a bit by our team.  Consensus is to go ahead with current business process.  This is mostly thanks to the customers key users working diligently to help train their coworkers and other department heads.

Team stress tested the warehouse operations.  The amount of serials was causing some orders to take over 3 minutes to post, which was unacceptable.  Got reports that speed has been improved 10 fold by tuning the code and SQL engine.  Will test tomorrow.

RMA process needs a little tweaking, but is one of the only things left outstanding.  This is now the focus for our team.

During the implementation, I took on learning the Advanced Forecasting Module from Lanham.  Usually, I had one of my team members handle this.  I found the module very well designed and exciting to work with.  It is showing some great prospects for the purchasing department.  I hope it is going to predict accurately for them.  We just implemented roll up of locations today, Lanham team were very helpful.

Things are looking good.  Hope they stay that way.
